Trading content that shows you the losses.

Finfluencer hype sold a generation a highlight reel. We built the opposite: a platform whose backtests pay the spread, that gates you before live trading, and that labels every simulated result for what it is.

The problem

Three habits that hide risk

None of these patterns belong to any single creator — they are structural. But each one quietly transfers risk from the story to your account.

Hype-first signals

Short-form trading content is built to be shared, not to be survived. A 2026 Euronews review found more than 60% of TikTok financial videos fail to adequately explain risk — and Europe's regulator now applies market-abuse transparency rules to social-media investment recommendations. Screenshot wins are marketing; the losses never make the highlight reel.

Hindsight-flattered backtests

Most tools backtest at the mid price. Filling every trade at the midpoint of the spread systematically overstates options returns — research puts the overstatement at 5–15% per year — and it is worst exactly where retail trades most: wide-spread, short-dated structures. A backtest that cannot lose to the spread is not a backtest.

Paywalled guru courses

Expensive Discords and recorded courses sell the dream of someone else's track record — self-reported, unverifiable, and structurally unstructured. Completion rates for self-paced course content run in the single digits. You buy excitement, not a process.

The FainTrading answer

Honesty as shipped mechanics, not a slogan

Positioning is cheap. These are four mechanisms in the shipped product, each with a public page you can audit.

Honest fills

Backtests that pay the spread

Every FainTrading backtest shows two P&Ls: the ideal fill and the honest fill — re-priced with spread capture by delta and DTE, the commission schedule, an assignment estimate, and earnings IV-crush ratios computed from actual historical crush, not a guess. The methodology is published in full, with its limits stated.

Readiness gating

A platform that can tell you 'not yet'

The Live-Readiness Score grades your closed paper trades — cost resilience, concentration, hold-time and rule discipline — against published anchors, and refuses to render at all below 30 closed trades rather than flatter a small sample. 80+ is the platform's own 'live-ready' threshold. Nobody is pushed toward a live account they are not ready for.

Accessibility

Stated, not assumed

A platform that claims to educate has to be usable by the people it educates. Our accessibility statement documents the conformance position, the keyboard and screen-reader behavior we build against, and how to report a barrier — a public commitment, reviewed and kept current.

Evidence

What is actually in the product

2 P&Lsper backtest

Dual-P&L is the default, not a hidden setting — ideal vs. honest fill side by side, with friction sliders you control.

30closed-trade minimum

The readiness score withholds itself below 30 closed trades instead of scoring noise. Data is never invented to fill a dashboard.

61school modules

A structured path with quizzes and verifiable certificates — progress you earn, not content you binge.

0self-reported results

Every number on a public profile is computed from verified fills, with simulated results labeled HYPOTHETICAL inline.

The honest pitch

Options involve substantial risk, most traders who try them lose money, and no tool — ours included — changes that. What a platform can do is stop lying to you about it: in the backtests it shows, the moment it nudges you live, and the results it publishes. Learning and paper trading are free on FainTrading, in full, forever. Decide from the methodology, not the marketing.

Risk warning

Options involve substantial risk of loss and are not suitable for all investors. Past performance — actual or simulated — is not indicative of future results. Nothing here is investment advice.
